The Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative announced it would no longer make sample lessons a part of the CSCOPE curriculum system as of August 31, 2013. Lubbock ISD has not required teachers to use these lessons; they are merely a resource available for use at the teacher’s discretion. CSCOPE will continue to be used in Lubbock ISD as the delivery system for the state-mandated curriculum.

The K12 Global Education Outreach Program at the International Cultural Center is hosting a summer camp for students entering grades 4 - 6 which is designed to foster cultural understanding. The camp will be June 3rd-5th at the Texas Tech International Cultural Center from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the cost is $125. For more information, click here.

Summer Reading Challenge 2013 is here! To participate, Lubbock ISD students, faculty and staff will complete a reading log of books read over the summer. Please remember that the apartments and businesses across the street from our school are private property. We try to be good neighbors and remind our population throughout the year not to park in their lots. The customers and tenants cannot access their apartments or conduct business during morning or afternoon times because of the parking. Thanks for helping us and them remain neighborly!
